1. General

These Terms & Conditions apply to all purchases made from For the Love of Shades. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Products

For the Love of Shades creates both ready-made and bespoke handmade lampshades. Due to the handmade nature of the products, slight variations in colour, pattern placement, and finish may occur and are part of the character of a handmade item.

3. Bespoke Orders

Bespoke lampshades are made to order based on individual customer requirements. Full payment is required upfront before work begins.

Bespoke items are non-refundable and non-returnable unless the item is faulty or not made in accordance with the agreed specification. This does not affect your statutory rights.

4. Ready-Made Items

Ready-made lampshades are available for immediate purchase. Returns are accepted only if the item is faulty or damaged on arrival. Any faults must be reported within 48 hours of receipt.

To initiate a return, please contact info@fortheloveofshades.co.uk. Where a fault is confirmed, a replacement or refund will be offered in line with your statutory rights.

5. Pricing & Payment

All prices are listed in GBP (£). Payment is required in full at the time of ordering. Payments can be made via the website or by bank transfer for in-person purchases.

6. Lead Times

Typical lead time is 7–10 working days from receipt of payment. Lead times may vary during busy periods. Customers will be notified if delays occur.

7. Postage and Delivery

All items are sent via Royal Mail using a tracked service. Lampshades are carefully packaged to ensure safe delivery.

Orders are dispatched within 7–10 working days unless otherwise agreed. Delivery is currently available within the UK only.

Postage is charged at £4.95 per order. Once dispatched, delivery times are subject to Royal Mail’s service and are outside of our control.

8. Lampshade Safety

All lampshades are made using fire-retardant materials and comply with UK safety standards. We recommend using LED or low-energy bulbs only and adhering to the maximum wattage advised.

9. Liability

For the Love of Shades shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of our products. Lampshades should be used only as intended.

10. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
