I found an old lamp in the garage and searched online for a replacement shade, but because of its unusual shape and two lamps, I couldn’t find anything suitable. I found For The Love Of Shades and Denise was immediately helpful. She went out of her way to meet me to collect and return the original shade.

We’d been unable to find any ready made ones that worked for our living room. We spoke to Denise and she suggested buying some fabric and then making them for us. We chose this rich olive green velvet fabric and took Denise’s advice and chose the gold lining which creates a warm soft light. Exactly what we wanted.😊

I met Denise at a craft fair and instantly fell in love with her lampshades! I spotted a design that matched my William Morris tablecloth at home and got very excited to think i could have a table and table lamp combo! Denise kindly agreed to make me a table lamp in the size i wanted, and then went above and beyond to ensure once made ( which happened very quickly) it reached me in the realms of Essex!

I had four elliptical lamp shades that dated back to the early 2000s and were in dire need of replacement. Denise sourced new elliptical frames to check their compatibility with the light fittings. Then she advised me on the colours and pattern that would best suit the room and made four within ten days. Bearing in mind the shades are hand made, I thought the price was very reasonable by comparison with other retailers. Marvellous job!

Denise has done two drum shades for me, one using my own fabric to match a blind, and the second helping me to source the perfect fabric! She’s also now doing two small bedside lampshades for me.
I’ve been so impressed with Denise’s knowledge of her craft and her willingness to help in any way she can. She also takes great care and it shows in the end results, which are beautiful! Denise is very professional but also very lovely with it! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!
